Biography

I am Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan, an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), Bangladesh. I have more than 17 years of experience in teaching, research, and student supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across Bangladesh, India, Japan, the Czech Republic, and Norway. I completed my bachelor’s degree (2004–2008) and master’s degree (2008–2010) at KIIT University, India, and earned my PhD (2022–2025) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. My PhD thesis was nominated for the Best Doctoral Thesis Award at NTNU in 2025. Earlier, I received double Gold Medals for academic performance during my master’s studies at KIIT University in 2010, along with the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship for academic excellence throughout my bachelor’s and master’s studies (2004–2010). In 2024, I was a Visiting Researcher at Brno University of Technology (VUT), Czech Republic.

My research interests include wireless communication systems, 5G/6G networks, integrated sensing and communication, RF and microwave sensing, multi-antenna systems, machine learning for wireless and sensing systems, federated learning, and intelligent sensing systems. I have been affiliated with UITS since 2011 and am currently serving as an Associate Professor. During my tenure, I have held several academic leadership positions, including Head of the Department (2019–2022), Director of the Information and Communication Technology Cell (2020–2022), and Advisor to the ICT Cell (2018–2022).
